Bozo!
There is an e-mail going around and it has a lot of people scared. It says that the senate has enacted a bill, SB-2099, that will require all legitimate gun owners to register their weapons, submit to fingerprints, give your SS number and also report each gun on your 1040 Income tax form and pay Fifty dollars for each gun; and that the bill was enacted by the Finance Committee without the senate voting on it at all. This is not true…Go to “http://www.senate.gov” and in the search box type in SB-2099 and it will tell you that the story is simply an internet rumor.
Furthermore another bill has been introduced in the house under the number, HR-45 and has many of the same regulations that the phony senate bill supposedly has attached to it. HOWEVER, the House Bill was introduced on January 6, 2009 and has never been discussed, acted upon and is tied up in committee now, where it will die at the end of this congressional session.
Lets stop and think a minute: Out of the over 300 million law abiding citizens living in America, statistics say that over 250 million of these people own guns as guaranteed by the Constitution. Do you honestly believe that the Congress and Senate want to take a chance of causing a full scale revolution on American soil? These people are scared to death of losing their jobs already and they are on very thin ice at the present time. The American people are fed up with big government telling them what they can and can’t do and there are about 18 million people who are unemployed, 4 million who have been thrown out of their homes by corrupt banks and Obama’s Health Care Bill has brought the people closer together than at anytime since December 7, 1941. God Bless America.
Have a good day and I’ll be waiting for you to call me at 888-876-2336 on Sirius 147 and XM-171.
Labor day is over and Lumpy, Checkers(our dog) and I will be headed back to Florida this coming weekend. I’m taking two weeks vacation and will return to the air on Sept. 27. On our way back to the Sunshine state we are taking I-10 when it merges with I-75 and we will be making a side trip to Tallahassee to see the breeder who sold us Checkers almost a year ago. She has a beautiful female that she sold to a lady in SC who wanted to show her but the dog was nervous around strangers, so instead of taking her and letting her get familiar with strangers, she took a dog she had paid 25 hundred dollars for and had her spayed, then took her back to the breeder to see if she could get 15 hundred dollars for her. The breeder was furious and said, “I would have given her the entire 25 hundred dollars back if she hadn’t spayed her, but now she can’t be shown in the show ring and can’t be bred. Believe it or not, she is actually prettier than Lexi was, she weighs ten pounds and is very tiny as Lexi was, so we’re going to buy her and see if she will help Checkers calm down by having a play mate and if it doesn’t work out we’ll take the little female back in two weeks. Checkers has gotten attached to a group of dogs here in Mason, Ohio and they have played all summer long and I know he will miss the company when we get back to Florida, so that’s why we’re getting another Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Listen for the best of my first week off and Trucker Tim the following week. One last thing, Sharon is not having the second surgery done on her spine as the first surgery didn’t help at all. She can’t go up and down stairs and can barely walk 100 feet without having to sit down until the pain goes away. I’ll be talking with you on the 27th of September. Enjoy whats left of summer.
